Synopsis:

Heathers The Musical: Teen Edition is the darkly delicious story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, beautiful teenage misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High: the Heathers. But before she can get comfortable atop the high school food chain, Veronica falls in love with the dangerously handsome new kid J.D. When Heather Chandler, the Almighty, kicks her out of the group, Veronica decides to bite the bullet and kiss Heather’s aerobicized butt… but J.D. has another plan for that bullet.

Teen Production Camp – FAQ

  • When can I drop off/ pick up my Teen?

Our two week production camps run Monday to Friday, 5:30pm – 9pm.  Campers can be dropped off no earlier than 5:15pm, and must be picked up by 9pm daily.  Late pick-up will be changed $5 for the first five minutes, then $1 per each additional minute.

  • What does my teen need to bring each day?

Please send your teen with one or two snacks, and a labeled water bottle. Please note that there is NO microwave or fridge on site so please pack accordingly.  Campers will need to also bring their script and a pencil each day. Highlighters are recommended. but optional.

  • What does my teen need to wear?

Please make sure your teen wears comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes are a must – NO CROCS. Black jazz shoes are preferred but not required. Masks are optional, so please feel free to attend the program as you see fit.

  • My teen has an Epi-Pen/Medication that they need to bring; how does that work?

If your camper takes daily medication, we ask that medications be administered at home. However, if your camper has an Epi-pen or other medications needed in case of an emergency, please put these in a labeled Ziploc bag and check these items in with a counselor Monday morning. We will return items upon check out on the last day of camp.

  • What will the first day of camp look like?

The first day of camp will consist of singing, dancing, and reading from the script for auditions. This audition process may require some “down” time for the performers but we want to make sure that every performer has equal time. Everyone should know their role by the end of the day. While not everyone can have a leading role or a solo, please remind your performer that ALL parts are important to telling the story. We will make sure everyone has plenty of stage time, and most importantly; HAVE FUN!

  • When are the performances, and when will tickets be available?

Performances will take place on the Saturday and Sunday of the second week of camp. Times and ticket information will be sent out closer to the start of camp, so please watch for specifics as we approach your selected camp.

  • If my teen will be late or absent, what do I do?

Please let us know via email or by phone whether or not your camper will be late and/or absent from camp.

  • My teen has never been involved in theatre before. Does that matter?

We accept campers of ALL experience levels! – however, due to the two week limitation, this camp may be overwhelming for first time performers. Our staff will work hard to ensure that each camper feels encouraged and supported throughout their camp experience.

  • Do I need to provide costume items?

If campers need to bring in any costume items, we will let you know ASAP. We do ask that campers provide their own undergarments (shorts and tank top) to wear under their costumes.

  • Can my camp registration be refunded if we are unable to attend?

In agreement with CTG’s terms and conditions upon registration, please note that we do not offer refunds. However, we are happy to offer a one-year credit case dependent for registrations so that campers can attend future programs.

Additional information about tickets, volunteers, props and costume needs, etc. will be sent out during camp so be sure to watch your email for further communication.

If you have any questions that were not answered above, please reach out to me as I am more than happy to assist. We look forward to a theatrical summer!
