Special message from CTG Onstage and Inclusive Director, Mitchel Sommers:
I was asked a couple of years ago by the media what was the most special thing that I do at CTG. Everyone was sure I was going to say The Wizard of Oz, which as you all know, I love love love! Actually, my answer was Onstage and Inclusive , our 2-week theater program bringing together actors from the special needs community and introducing them to our CTG actors and actresses. As a theater person who embraces diversity and inclusiveness, I cannot even begin to tell you how fulfilling this program is for all involved.
I need you! We had so many wonderful actors from the special needs community come out and audition– that we are in need of more experienced CTG actors and actresses, both teens and adults to work with us in the program. All that’s required is a desire to collaborate with participants with various disabilities in a theatre setting and make a commitment to attending all rehearsals and shows during the 2 weeks of the program.
