Auditions: “Making a Musical”

May 16, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

CTG is announcing auditions ON TUESDAY, MAY 16th at 6:30pm in The Starr Theater for the production of an “original” show entitled “MAKING A MUSICAL” which will include songs from all of the upcoming CTG Season 68 shows including:

“Skid Row” and “Suddenly Seymour” from Little Shop of Horrors,

“I Want to Be A Producer” from The Producers

“Part of Your World” and “Poor Unfortunate Souls” from The Little Mermaid

“If I Only Had a Heart” from The Wizard of Oz

“One” from A Chorus Line

“The Thinks You Can Think” from Seussical, Jr

“Good Enough To Eat” from The Story of Hansel and Gretel

“Golden Ticket” from Willy Wonka Jr.

“Why We Tell The Story” from Once On This Island, Jr.

Rehearsals will be 2-3 weeks in late May/Early June with performances at the Triad Theater League Theater Festival on June 16-17 and at various locations throughout the Triad through November (2-4 nights per month).  All roles will be double cast to allow performers nights off for conflicts.  Being cast for a role in MAKING A MUSICAL will have no bearing on casting for mainstage and junior season productions.  ALL AGES ARE NEEDED.  Auditioners should prepare a song (not from the list above) to be performed to accompaniment and/or a pre-recorded track.
