Looking to cast all roles! *MUST be 14 years to 18 years, AND currently enrolled in 9th – 12th grades. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Audition Information: Please come with a prepared song— Please bring a Karaoke version of your song on a Bluetooth accessible device – no accompanist for this audition. We will have a bluetooth speaker on hand. No monologues are necessary. Auditionees will learn a short movement combination, which will be sent out via email prior to the audition. Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended.
About the Show: This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.

Note that rehearsals are often in the evenings during the week days (6pm – 8:30pm) with weekend rehearsal times will vary.
