Please bring your tap shoes if you tap dance. \nCTG believes in non-traditional casting and encourages everyone to come out.  All roles open! Please bring your calendars so you can list any and all conflicts during the rehearsal period. \n\nAdditional Info: Lyrics and Music by Leslie Bricusse Anthony Newley\, Based on the book\, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” by Roald Dahl. \nRoald Dahl’s Willy Wonka KIDS follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory\, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats\, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket\, who takes the tour in the company of his equally charming Grandpa\, Joe. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka’s rules in the factory – or suffer the consequences. \nMarch 2\, 3\, 9\, 10 at 7PM \nMarch 3\, 4\, 10\, 11 at 2PM \n

DESCRIPTION:Date:                              Tuesday\, January 16\, 2017 \nTime:                                  6pm-8pm \n  \nAudition Location:               \nCTG’s Starr Theatre and Cone Studio \n520 South Elm Street \nGreensboro\, NC 27406 \nInformation:                  \n‘OnStage and Inclusive’ is a unique 2 week multi-age theatre program that engages participants with disabilities the opportunity to work on self-expression\, advocacy and communication skills through expressive theatre arts. This inclusive theatre program is by audition only and the selected Company will use the 2 weeks to create performances based on collaborative ideas formed with their acting partners. There will be Acting\, Vocal and Inclusive specialists to work with the Company. Additional backstage learning opportunities including lighting\, sound and\nstage management are also available by audition. \nThe 2 weeks will culminate with entertainment\, friendship and the arts\, as we celebrate with 2 Performance\nShowcases for the community. The Performance Showcase will feature all the program’s Participants\, many of whom will be performing on stage for the very first time. These performances will be a great opportunity for our\ncommunity to see how CTG is fulfilling its mission by “bringing our diverse community together to learn about\, experience and celebrate the joys of theatre.” After the show on Sunday\, meet the performers and enjoy\nrefreshments at a cast party to be held in The Herman and Barbara Cone Family Education and Event Center. \nFor the auditions on January 16th: Be prepared to share your talents! SUMMARY:Women in White
DESCRIPTION:*MESSAGE FROM CTG* \nCTG has decided to replace Women Behind Bars with Women In White. This show follows a group of nurses who live in the Nurses’ Residence in a small city hospital. One of the girls is found murdered\, and Julia Robertson\, a policewoman assigned to her first homicide\, is called in. Due to the nature and content of Women Behind Bars\, CTG believes Women in White is more in line with our audience and the community that we represent. We are excited to present this comedy with a murder mystery twist. \nKate Fawcett\, stern but fair Superintendent of Nurses\, thinks of the girls in her charge almost as daughters. Hester is interested only in books\, hard boiled Gloria is waiting for her guy to return from Korea\, sentimental Betsy wants a man\, Ann has a past she tries desperately to keep hidden\, and Elaine and Molly share a strange and incriminating secret. Laurie and Celia are new probationers; one is full of ideals and the other is just looking for a job. One of the girls is murdered and Julia Robertson\, a policewoman working her first homicide\, is called in.
