DESCRIPTION:CTG is holding open auditions for our production of Ghost The Musical! \nAdapted from the hit film by its Academy Award-winning screenwriter\, Bruce Joel Rubin\, GHOST THE MUSICAL follows Sam and Molly\, a young couple whose connection takes a shocking turn after Sam’s untimely death. The bond of love transcends the boundaries of life itself to grow stronger and more fully realized. Trapped between two worlds\, Sam refuses to leave Molly when he learns she is in grave danger. Desperate to communicate with her\, he turns to a storefront psychic\, Oda Mae Brown\, who helps him protect Molly and avenge his death. GHOST THE MUSICAL is a poignant romance that builds comedy\, suspense\, and deeply felt emotion to an ethereal climax that audiences will never forget. \nAudition Dates:\nSunday\, August 25th\, 2019 – 2pm to 4pm \nTuesday\, August 27th\, 2019 – 7pm to 9pm \nCallbacks: Wednesday\, August 28th\, 2019 \nAudition Location:\nCultural Arts Center\n200 N. Davie St.\, Greensboro\, NC 27401\n4th Floor Studio \nInformation: Ages 16 and up. Role Information here: \nGhost: The Musical \n \nPlease arrive to auditions at either of the dates mentioned. Please come with a prepared song—sheet music or karaoke CD (music only; no one singing on the CD). Even if you are auditioning for a non-singing role\, we would like for you to sing something; even “Happy Birthday”. An accompanist will be provided and we will have a CD player on hand if needed. No monologues are necessary. There will also be a dance/movement portion of the audition. Please plan to bring shoes and clothes to move in and learn a combination from the show’s choreographer. Those being considered for singing roles and non-singing roles will be asked to read from the script which will be given and assigned to you at the audition or callbacks. \nCTG believes in non-traditional casting and encourages everyone to come out.
