June 19-23

 

8:30am – 12:30pm (Ages 3-5) Quack A Doodle Moo –  With fun on the farm and beats in the barn, campers won’t want to miss this party in the pasture!

8:30am – 12:30pm  (Ages 6-10) Sing It Out – Do you like to act? Do you love to sing? Then this camp is for you! Students will learn the skills needed to bring a mini-musical to life on the stage.

1:30pm – 5:30pm (Ages 6-10) Acting for Kids – In this camp students will learn the basic of stage acting, theatre terminology and how to build character and get over stage fright.

1:30pm-5:30pm (Ages 11-15) Acting and Improv – This camp focuses on the collaborative skills and exercises required in improvisation work. We will explore the art of improvisation through theatre games and techniques that teach quick thinking and build confidence. We will learn the rules of improvisation, how to tell spontaneous  stories.

June 26-30

 

8:30am -12:30pm (Ages 6-10) Move to the Music Do you shy away from musical theatre because of the dancing? Or feel uncomfortable learning a simple dance combination? This camp will strive to alleviate those fears. Simple combinations will be taught so campers are more comfortable with the process. This is a great opportunity to become more at ease with movement, improve your coordination and learn to have fun at auditions.

8:30am-12:30pm (Ages 11-15)  Monologues – Strengthen your approach to tackling monologues. Whether for performance, auditions, or growth as an actor and speaker, this class will build up your confidence in executing monologues.

1:30pm – 5:30pm (Ages 6-10) FaceTime – This fun camp will give students the opportunity to explore different types of face painting. Students will learn how to create characters on their face.

1:30pm – 5:30pm (Ages 11-15) Medley of Musicals Learn and perform musicals in a musical revue style setting. Technique such as ear and rhythm training, proper breathing while singing and dance.

July 3-7 (No camp on July 4)

 

8:30am-12:30pm (Ages 3-5) Nursery Rhyme Time  – These pint size performers  get a chance to light up the stage by acting out our favorite Nursey Rhymes.

8:30am – 12:30pm (Ages 6-10) Intro To Popular Musicals – This jumping musical theatre camp will teach students songs and basic choreography from popular Broadway musicals.

1:30pm-5:30pm (Ages 6-10) After Happily Ever After – We all always wonder what happens after the story ends. In this camp students will have the chance to create their own ending.

1:30pm-5:30pm (Ages 11-15) The ABC’s of Acting – This class teaches the acting essentials. Refine your auditioning skills and learn more about Monologues and presentation. This camp is a great way to boost your self confidence.

July 10 -14

 

8:30am-12:30pm (Ages 6-10) Kids On Broadway Sing and dance your way through Broadway musicals that are performed by children. Emphasis will be on learning music, introducing characters and learning basic choreography.

8:30am-12:30pm (Ages 11-15) Acting Fundamentals – In this camp you will discover a new way of looking of acting. You will learn concentration and improvisation skills. At the same time you will focus on a new way to use your voice and body as you learn techniques for stage movement and diction.

1:30pm-5:30pm (Ages 6-10)  Act 1 – This class will reinforce the basic principles: intention, characterization,  and emotions. Students will continue their skills through improvisations, acting exercises and theatre games and scripted material.

1:30pm-5:30pm (Ages 11-15) Talk Less, Smile More – Don’t throw away your shot to be in this Hamilton themed camp. Students will have the chance to sing and dance to the hit Broadway musical ,Hamilton, that is taking New York by storm.

8:30am -12:30pm (Ages 6-10) Audition, Audition – Get a head start on your next audition. Find out what is expected at auditions and choose a song that best fits your voice and character.

8:30am – 12:30pm (Ages 11-15) Actors in Action – This camp will introduce kids to acting and allow students the chance to explore how their bodies, voices and emotions work and how those elements can be used to develop a character.

1:30pm- 5:30pm (Ages 6-10) Comic Book Characters – This camp will create a brand new family of comic book super heroes where two opposing forces battle across the streets of Greensboro. Who will destroy the city and who will save the day.

8:30am-12:30pm (Ages 6-10) Munchkinland – Do you ever wonder what Munchkinland was like before Dorothy’s house landed? Explore the Yellow Brick Road through this tiny world on the way to Oz.

8:30am-12:30pm (Ages 11-15) Funny, Funny –  Everyone wants to be a comedian. You’ve seen it on TV now you can do it yourself. Bring your funny bone and leave them laughing. Short skits, funny monologues and comedy improvisations highlight this hilarious camp.

INTO THE WOODS JR.

Tony Award-winning musical. Into the Woods JR. features all of your favorite characters – Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables. The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse and wind up changed forever.

Legally Blonde JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle’s high school boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she’s not “serious” enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren’t mutually exclusive. As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all.
